Verify Ontario is Ontario’s official application that provides an easy and quick way for businesses and organizations to scan their COVID-19 proof of vaccination at entry.

Secure and Private:
The app does not require users’ specific location or collect any information related to specific locations, visitors, or businesses.
The app only collects anonymous data and does not save or track personal information.
A verification result displays on screen for 30 seconds, then is deleted.
No Connection is Needed
Connection is not required for the app to scan any QR codes. Users only need to periodically connect to the Internet to update vaccine or entry requirements. Users can also update the app manually on the settings and information page.
How does the app work?
First of all, make sure that your device meets the technical requirements as listed below:
Your device should be:
a phone model that is from 2014 onwards
Or Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch running iOS 11 or newer operating systems
Or Android devices, such as phones or tablets running Android 6 or newer operating systems
Your app should permit camera’s access.
With the requirements met, you can go through the following steps:
Scan vaccine certificates with government-issued QR codes, which can be a physical copy they've printed or a digital copy on their mobile device
Wait for the result displayed which could determine a person’s eligibility (a green check mark indicating that it meets vaccine requirements, a red X for an invalid certificate, or a yellow warning indicating that the QR code cannot be read)
